Job Description
1. Responsible for handling HT 11kV and LV electrical equipment including operating, maintaining and troubleshooting switchgears, transformer and other related system for the company.
2. To be overall responsible for the safety and proper operation of high-tension power supply and standby generator emergency power supply.
3. To carry out daily inspection and monitoring for HT and LV switchboards, bus-ducts, transformers, switchgears and TNB supply.
4. Carry out schedule inspections and testing of standby Generator, Fire Pumps, and other facility and utility support equipment such as air compressors.
5. Liaise with relevant Authorities and vendors to ensure legal compliance of the applicable laws, including OSHA / EIA Act, DOSH, Suruhanjaya Tenaga, Jabatan Bomba and other regulatory governing bodies.
6. Responsible for the overall maintenance and condition of all machines in the plant
7. Attend to mechanical and electrical breakdown, trouble shooting and provide regular maintenance. Ensure all equipment are upkeep with proper PM and maintenance program related to facility and utility.
8. Responsible for the installation, modification and commissioning of machine;
9. Ensure all projects/upgrading are carried out efficiently within the specified time and cost estimate.
10. Ensure all maintenance and external contractorsf works/service are aware of and practice safety procedures/compliance at all times.
11. Prepare and submit reports related to assign job function.
12. Monitor meter reading and checklists as required by ISO standards and legal compliances.
13. Lead and manage a team of technicians & facility resources to provide effective and reliable support services for all plant machineries, equipment, and facilities.
14. Plan and arrange jobs to be performed during machines/utilities shutdown.
15. Carry out in-house electrical works including maintenance, inspection and testing as assigned by the management.
16. Any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Management.
Requirements
1. Possess at least a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification, Bachelor's degree are added advantage
2. Candidate must possess at least Chargeman BO (11kV) Certificate with Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia.
3. 2 years working experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining high voltage electrical systems and equipment.
4. Able to cooperate as a team & to work out of B0 job scope (AC, compressor, AHU, LEV & more).
5. Knowledge in Electricity Supply Act, Electricity Regulations is essential.
6. Matured, analytical, self-starter and can work independently with least supervision.
