- Plan and execute maintenance for paper machine equipment, installations, operation, monthly shut down, upgrading projects & other ads-hoc projects - Provision of internal operations and technical support - Identify and implement preventive maintenance and continuous improvement to prolong the life span & efficiency of equipment - Reduce equipment or machine breakdowns/unscheduled downtime, and take necessary corrective and preventive measures to avoid recurrence of the similar failure - Responsible to reduce repair & maintenance cost and inventory cost for department - Lead and implement internal maintenance and process improvement initiatives - Prepare necessary weekly, monthly and yearly technical reports - Oversee department budget, maintenance cost, spare part inventories and etc. - Lead, train and develop team members (engineers and technicians) in terms of technical skills in mechanical maintenance works - Ensure and promote workplace safety to all team members - Ensure and promote good housekeeping practices and 5S to all team members - Ensure and promote environmental awareness especially on pollution control

- With minimum 8 years of working experience in mechanical maintenance at manufacturing plant / heavy industries, preferably from Pulp & Paper Mill background - Good hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in mechanical and basic knowledge in electrical and instrument maintenance - Basic knowledge in condition monitoring (vibration analysis) and shaft alignments will be and added advantage - Knowledge and familiarity with SAP – Maintenance Module will be and added advantage - Knowledge and experience in compliance to ISO:9001 & ISO:14001 - Degree holder in Mechanical Engineering - Good analytical mind and critical thinking skills - High commitment, independency and responsibility are required - Good oral and written command of English and Bahasa Malaysia - Able to work under tough environment and handle pressure well - Able to attend on-call after working hours, during rest days and work overtime if needed
