Job Description
• Oversee the daily maintenance, preventive maintenance, modification projects and trouble-shooting of filed electrical components & equipment (for utilities section such as Cogen, water treatment plant, incinerator plant)
• Maintains electrical & instruments systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and on-going maintenance, and testing programs, scheduling repairs, coordinating shutdowns and installation
• Plan and assist the maintenance of electrical/instrumentation and electrical/instrumentation installations, operation, monthly shut down, upgrading projects and other ads-hoc projects
• Lead a team of engineers and technicians in ensuring maintenance, daily operations and projects are effectively and efficiently carried out
• Identify and implement improvement maintenance in order to prolong the life span of equipment
• Responsible to reduce down time, maintenance cost and inventory cost for department
• Lead and implement internal maintenance and process improvement initiatives
• Prepare necessary weekly, monthly and yearly technical reports
• Lead, train and develop team members (engineers and technicians) in terms of technical skills in electrical and instrument maintenance works
• Ensure and promote safety workplace for all team members
Requirements
• Preferably those with minimum10 years of working experience in HT line and LV system from heavy industries. Knowledge in the instrument system (PLC, field instrumented) is an essential skill for this role.
• Good hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge in electrical and instrument maintenance
• Good analytical mind and critical thinking skills
• Familiar with work safety procedures and aware about the necessary safety measures required for maintenance work
• High commitment, independency and responsibility are required
• Good oral and written command of English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Able to work under tough environment and handle pressure well
• Successful candidate will be based at Kuala Langat, Selangor (near KLIA)
